Busto Arsizio and Bangkok are the venues of the two World Olympic Qualification Events next year
Less than one year left until the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games which will open with its first boxing competition day on July 27 next year. Currently 44 boxers already earned their quotas for Paris 2024 during the European Games.
The boxing event of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will have altogether 14 competition days, the finals have been divided into four parts from August 7 until the 10th. The number of the available quotas is total number of 248 and among them 204 are still vacant.
The African Olympic Boxing Qualifier will be the next quota event in Dakar, Senegal on September 9-15. The Asian Games is the Asian Qualifier will take place in Hangzhou, China from September 23 until October 7 and the number of the available quotas is 34 including 20 for the women boxers.
The strong Panamerican Games will feature in Santiago de Chile in October 21-27 while the Pacific Games for the Oceanians in the Solomon Islands will be closed the continental qualifiers this November.
Busto Arsizio will host the 1st World Olympic Boxing Qualification Event following the continental qualifiers where 49 boxers will earn their quotas. The small North Italian town will be the venue of the first world event from February 29 until March 12 in 2024.
Bangkok received the right to host the 2nd World Olympic Boxing Qualification Event between May 23 and June 23 next year. There are 49 quotas in the Italian town and the 51 Olympic spots in the second and last qualifier in Thailand’s capital.
