Dina Thorslund beats Avila, unifies titles in bantamweight

Dina Thorslund beat Mexican Yuliahn Luna Avila by points in Holstebro on Friday night and unified WBC and WBO titles in bantamweight.

29-years-old Thorslund got her 20th professional boxing win in as many fights. All three judges saw her as winner against Avila. For Avila was fourth career loss. She has also 25 wins and one draw.

Mikeal Hook scored the fight 99:91, Giulio Piras 98:92 and Daniel Van der Wiele 97:93.

In undercard Danish supermiddleweight prospect Jacob Bank (11-0) continued to impress by stopping Montenegrin fighter Almir Skrjelj in second round.

Brazilian Hebert Conceicao Sousa (5-0) stopped Polish fighter Robert Talarek in second round in the other super middleweight bout.
