France, Norway and Hungary made strong debut at the Silesian Women’s Open

The 18th edition of the Silesian Women’s Open Tournament started with 22 contests in the city of Gliwice, in Poland.

The female competitions holds for the elite, youth and junior age groups in Poland where strong boxing powers such as Kazakhstan, Germany, Ireland, Poland, Ukraine, France, England, Hungary, Norway, Czech Republic and many others on the board.

Kazakhstan’s Elina Bazarova, the 2022 Youth World Champion, made a fantastic debut at the women’s elite bantamweight (54kg) in Gliwice where she had a massive performance against Czech Republic’s Veronika Zajicova.

France’s European U22 Champion Romane Moulai is another star boxer at the women’s bantamweight (54kg) and as expected, she was succeeded over Poland’s Natalia Zakrzewska but her teammate, Sthelyne Grosy failed to make through to the next stage.

Switzerland’s best female boxer, Anna Jenni impressed also in the first day of boxing, she eliminated a young Czech girl, Natalie Polednikova at the light welterweight (63kg).

The stars of the women’s welterweight (66kg), France’s Emilie Sonvico and Norway’s Madeleine Angelsen both dominated their openers against local rivals.

The Hungarians made a strong impact in the first day of boxing, all of their three young talents advanced to the next rounds. Their Junior European medallists, such as Sara Nyogeri and Vivien Kapcsos both eliminated their rivals unanimously, while the youth talent, Nikolett Kovacs stopped her Polish rival after two minutes.
