The junior boxers earned their titles at the Silesian Women’s Open on Day4

The junior finals, the youth and elite semi-finals were on the program of the fourth competition day at the Silesian Women’s Open Tournament in Gliwice, Poland.

The women’s international competition holds for the elite, youth and junior age groups in Poland and strong nations joined the Silesian Open this year.

Poland’s Gabriela Wawszczyk was the first winner of the entire tournament, she defeated her teammate, Daria Szlufarska at the junior pinweight (46kg).

France’s Teresi Maloe won several junior tournaments this year and she was technically brilliant in her final against Hungary’s European Junior bronze medallist Sara Nyogeri at the light bantamweight (52kg).

The Norwegians sent a huge delegation to the Silesian Open, their Vilde Nostdahl was enough strong to beat Poland’s Judyta Andrukajtis at the lightweight (60kg) final.

Hungary’s European Junior Championships silver medallist Vivien Kapcsos boxed in a higher category this time, but her strength dominated her final over Zofia Chudon of Poland.

The Kazakh elite boxers made another strong impact in the tournament, the World Championships silver medallist Alua Balkybekova (50kg), the tall Viktoriya Grafeyeva (57kg), Aida Abikeyeva (60kg), Saltanat Yestayeva (81kg) and the former World Champion Lazzat Kungeibayeva (+81kg) all won their contests on Day4.

Poland’s Agata Kaczmarska moved up to the heavyweight (+81kg) this year but she is faster than all of her rivals which she demonstrated against Kazakhstan’s Eldana Talipova.
