The Mustafa Hajrulahovic Memorial Tournament runs in Sarajevo

The 21st edition of the Mustafa Hajrulahovic Talijan Memorial Tournament is running in the capital city of Bosnia & Herzegovina, in Sarajevo.

The competition venue is the Hotel Hills Sarajevo Congress and Termal Spa Resort and the international event was named after Division General Mr. Mustafa Hajrulahovic Talijan, Bosnia & Herzegovina’s army commander and hero.

Afghanistan, Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Palestine, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden are the participating nations in the Hajrulahovic Memorial.

Poland’s Jakub Slominski is an experienced boxer at the flyweight (51kg) and he was smart enough to beat Serbia’s Rade Joksimovic in the opening bout of the competition.

Poland’s Cezary Znamiec had a close fight against Palestine’s Nidal Foqahaa at the light middleweight (71kg) where his compatriot, the Tokyo Olympian Damian Durkacz also shined in the session.

Slovenia’s Edin Sejdinovic has ten years of international experiences and he had a strong performance against Croatia’s Marijan Vujevic to win their meeting.

Kazakhstan’s Nurbek Mursal, the Youth World Championships silver medallist, dominated all of the three rounds against Serbia’s Hamza Rasljani and the 18-year-old boxer marched to the next stage of boxing.

Serbia’s Luka Mihajlovic caused the main sensation of the session, the 17-year-old boxer defeated Kazakhstan’s Bibars Bekzhanov at the youth featherweight (57kg).
