Spain’s Montoya and Bandomo exceeded the expectations in the Moldavian Belt Youth & Junior Tournament

The Silesian Women’s Open, the Mustafa Hajrulahovic Memorial, the Ruska Tournament and the Moldavian Belt Youth & Junior Tournament are all running in the same period in the European continent.

Iasi is the host of the Moldavian Belt Youth & Junior Tournament in Romania.

There are strong boxing nations which competes in the new edition of the Moldavian Belt Youth & Junior Tournament such as Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Italy, Romania, Hungary, Spain and others.

The Kazakhs have been preparing to the upcoming ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships with full speed and they arrived to Romania with their top 15 and 16-year-old junior hopefuls.

Kazakhstan’s Tagir Satayev won several international competitions in 2023 and the 16-year-old talent worked hard in the opener against Romania’s Stefan Bacila to won the first tough battle at the junior light welterweight (63kg).

Romania’s Nicolas Stefan Boncu had strong pedigree from the previous events and the host nation’s junior talent proved his hard punches and strength against a younger Hungarian, Dominik Gombai at the junior flyweight (50kg).

Spain’s No.1, Yolber Daniel Bandomo is a fantastic junior talent at the middleweight (75kg) who was punctual against Italy’s Gabriel Morale and he managed to win all of the three rounds on the judges’ scorecards.

Another Spanish talent, Eugenio Montoya exceeded all of the previous expectations with his win against Kazakhstan’s Arystan Bitekenov at the junior welterweight (66kg).
