Ngabu, Damien Durandt’s second world champion

South Africa’s boxing manager of the year winner (2023) Damien Durandt, the son of late highly successful trainer Nick “Mthakathi” Durandt, produced his second world boxing champion on Yves Ngabu.

Ngabu demolished Australian Floyd Masson on Saturday. He stopped Masson in 6th round and won the IBO World title in Cruiserweight.

Durandt, in the fight in Australia, was assisted in the corner by Edson Kazembe.

His first world champion was Ilunga Junior Makabu who won the WBC Cruiserweight belt in 2020 than lost lost in his third defense to American based Swedish Badou Jack last February.
