The Godako Boxing Club succeeded in their previous events
The Transylvanian Godako Boxing Sport Club participated in the Dracula Cup held in Brașov, Romania, and the team closed the competition with six gold medals. Here are the results:
Schoolboy Category:
42 kg: Srof Kevin vs. Ghinete Cosmin (Oltenita): Kevin won by a split decision.
63 kg: Bogyor Dávid vs. Serban Andrei (GBP): Dávid won by unanimous decision.
Junior Category:
54 kg: Benedek Péter vs. Sindelaru Mihai (Berceni): Péter won by RSC in the second round.
60 kg: Búzás Róbert vs. Burduja Marian (Steaua): Róbert won by RSC in the second round.
66 kg: Mailát András vs. Stefan Ciprian (BC Ursache): András won by TKO in the second round.
Adults:
63.5 kg: Csiki Róbert vs. Bold Silvian (BC Ursache): Róbert won by TKO in the first round.
In another competition, seven athletes from the Transylvanian Godako Boxing Sport Club, representing Gyergyószentmiklós, stepped into the ring on the finals day of the Transylvanian Belt tournament held in Cluj-Napoca.
Mailát András left the ring victorious with a first-round win when his opponent, Ciurbe Dasaev, gave up the fight.
Following his excellent and tactical boxing, Búzás Róbert secured a unanimous decision victory against Niculae Costin in the junior 60-kilogram category.
Benedek Péter finished the match in the second round against Mustață Raul, leaving the ring as a winner on finals day.
In the junior category (U16) at 52 kilograms, the athletes from the Erdélyi Godako Boxing Sport Club, Sinka Botond and Rácz Alex, entered the ring, with Sinka Botond emerging victorious by unanimous decision.
Bogyor Dávid competed in the 60-kilogram category and left the ring with a first-round victory, clearly dominating the fight against Neculai Cosmin.
According to head coach Huszár Árpád’s evaluation, everyone performed well, including schoolboys, juniors and adults. While taking part in these regional tournaments, victory is not the most important thing; it’s about everyone giving their best, and that’s exactly what happened.
