Zorro beats D’Ortenzi, defends WBO European title

British cruiserweight Ellis Zorro (17-0) defeated Italian Luca D’Ortenzi (17-4) on Friday night in “York Hall” in an interesting fight. Zorro defended his WBO European Cruiserweight title by beating D’Ortenzi via unanimous points win.

Judges Pawel Kardyni, Matteo Montella and Terry O’Connor all gave the victory to Zorro (96:94, 97:93 and 98:92).

Zorro won the WBO European title in May this year, beating Hosea Burton by technical knockout in 7^th round.

In undercard of Fridays show that was promoted by Frank Warren, Joshua Frankham (9-0) got a close point win against Gorge Davey (8-1-1), Masood Abdulah (9-0) won by RTD 7 against Marc Leach (18-3-1).

Carl Fail (10-0), Chris Bourke (13-1), Karol Itauma (11-10) and Sam King (1-0) also got victories.
