Tszyu beats Mendoza to retain WBO Super Welterweight title

Australian Tim Tszyu (24-0) beat American Bryan Mendoza (22-2) on Sunday in Broadbeach, Australia, to retain WBO World Super Welter title.

Tszyu dominated the fight but didn’t get the KO win. In the end all three judges saw Tszyu as winner. Steve Gray pointed the fight 116:112, Adam Height 116:111 and Katsuhiko Nakamura 117:111.

After the fight Tszyu called on Jermell Charlo to “come and get the belt”.

“Charlo. Come get it. Let’s prove to everyone who is king of division”, Tszyu said.
