Prat stripped of EBU Title

EBU early this week has stripped French super welterweight Milan Prat (20-1-0) of the EBU title.

Prat lost last week in Germany by TKO on 10th round against unbeaten Slawa Spomer (18-0-0).

The title was not at stake, but because he lost to a European opponent in his own weight category, the EBU rules are clear on the subject and the French boxer now is a former EBU champ.

Official challengers for the vacant EBU Super Welterweight Title are British James Metcalf (25-2-0) and German Abass Baraou (13-1) who reportedly just broke up with Wasserman Sport.

The EBU deadline for purse bids or agreement are October 30.
