The Godako Boxing Academy earned four gold medals

The 4 athletes of the Transylvanian Godako Boxing Sports Club, István Fazakas, Dávid Bogyor, Vanessza Tallósi, and Máté Csiki, won gold medals at the U12 and junior Hungarian national championships.

The U12 and junior Hungarian championships took place over four days in Eger, with 270 boxers participating. The Transylvanian Godako Boxing Sports Club – Felcsút S.K. had 7 participants in the championship, under the guidance of head coach Árpád Huszár.

In the 64-kilogram weight category for school-girls, Vanessza Tallósi won the gold medal, securing both her matches with early victories, making her a two-time Hungarian national champion and a two-time Hungarian Cup winner, in addition to her bronze medal at the European Championships.

István Fazakas competed in the 54-kilogram weight category for school-boys, where he fought in 3 matches. István won all three matches by unanimous decision, successfully defending his Hungarian national title. The bronze medalist at the European Championships, István, is now also a Hungarian national champion and Hungarian Cup winner.

Dávid Bogyor (U14, 60 kg) fought in three matches in the championship, winning all three by first-round victories, thus adding the Hungarian national title to his 2023 Hungarian Cup victory.

Máté Csiki (U12, 46 kg) fought in 2 matches in the competition. Máté secured the championship title for the youngest age group with second-round early victories in both the semi-final and final.

Kevin Srof (U14 boys, 40 kg), Tímea Tallósi (U12 girls, 48 kg), and Brigitta Bakos (U14 girls, 42 kg) all finished the championship with bronze medals.

During the championship, Péter Benedek (U16, 52 kg) also fought for a place to participate in the World Championships. Péter defeated his opponent by unanimous decision, securing his spot in the junior World Championships in Yerevan in November, where he and András Majlát will represent Hungary from the Transylvanian Godako Boxing Sports Club in Gyergyószentmiklós.
