Inoue vs Tapales on December 26 for undisputed crown

Nayoa Inoue will fight Philippines’ Marlon Tapales for undisputed crown in super-bantamweight division.

Fight will be held in Tokyo on December 26. WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO titles are at stake.

Inoue will aim to become second male boxer to claim undisputed status in two weight divisions.

Inoue (25-0) unified the bantamweight division on December 13 when he knockout in eleventh round the British, Paul Butler at “Ariake Arena”.

The same arena will be also fight against Tapales (37-3) on December 26.

Inoue owns WBC and WBO titles, and Tapales IBF and WBA titles.

“The sensational Naoya Inoue astounds with every performance,” Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum said. “We are witnessing an all-time great fighter in the prime of his career. He has a very difficult task at hand on December 26 against a tough, powerful Filipino champion in Marlon Tapales, but I am confident ‘The Monster’ will pass this test with flying colors.”
