Uzbekistan has nine junior girls in the finals in Astana

The first part of the semi-finals was held at the Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships in Astana, the junior girls made exciting contests in the session.

Uzbekistan has nine junior girl finalists in Astana and their team was the best in the first part of the semi-finals. India and Kazakhstan both have seven final spots in this age group while Chinese Taipei has record number of two women’s junior finalists.

The venue of the championship is the Beeline Arena in Kazakhstan’s capital where the number of the boxers is 435.

Hong Kong, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, host Kazakhstan, South Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Palestine, Philippines, Tajikistan, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Yemen are the 22 participating nations in the event.

Kazakhstan’s 15-year-old Aiym Tankibayeva only made her debut in this championships but she had the technical skills to beat India’s Neha Lunthi at the pinweight (46kg) semi-final and she can prepare to her title contest against Uzbekistan’s Maftuna Musurmonova.

Chinese Taipei sent record number of boxers to this ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships and their Shen Sin Ai (48kg) and Kao Chun Ai (66kg) advanced to the finals in Kazakhstan’s capital.

India’s Nisha had a narrow fight against Kazakhstan’s Aisha Shariyeva but she managed to win their contest by split decision at the light bantamweight (52kg) which means that she will now meet Uzbekistan’s Muslima Turgunova for the gold medal.

Uzbekistan’s Rukhshona Parpiyeva lost to Kazakhstan’s Kuralay Yeginbaikyzy in the semi-finals of the last 2022 edition but this time she was able to make a revenge and she eliminated the titleholder at the light heavyweight (80kg).

Uzbekistan’s Sobirakhon Shakhobiddinova eliminated Kazakhstan’s Panar Seitkankyzy and she has the chance to win her second ASBC junior title at the heavyweight (+80kg).
