Sharma’s main rival, Uzbekistan’s Gulsevar Ganiyeva eliminated Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung in the next semi-final and the dream final has been realized once again. The 18-year-old Uzbek defeated the Indian in the final of the 2022 Youth World Boxing Championships but she is planning a revenge in Astana.

The bantamweight (54kg) will have another impressive final line-up, Uzbekistan’s ASBC Asian Junior Champion Uzukjamol Yunusova and India’s Tanu eliminated their Kazakh and Japanese rivals in the semi-finals.

Kazakhstan’s best hopes such as the defending champions, the 18-year-old Ulzhan Sarsenbek (57kg) and Bakyt Seidish (66kg), both advanced to the finals of the competition with amazing performance.
