Cordina retains IBF title with majority decision win over Vazquez

British Joe Cordina (17-0) defended his IBF World title in super-featherweight with a majority decision win over American Edward Vazquez (15-2).

It was the main event of the show held on Saturday in Monte Carlo, which was promoted by Eddie Hearn.

After a hard fight, two of judges in end gave victory to Cordina and judge Jeremy Hayes scored the fight as draw (114:114).

In the same show, Mexican Adrian Curiel (24-4-1) KO’d South African Sivenathi Nontshinga (12-1), to win IBF World Light Fly title.

French Souleymane Cissokho (17-0) won via unanimous decision over Isaias Lucero (16-2), to defend WBC Silver Welter title.

Ramla Ali (9-1) won via unanimous decision over Mexican Julissa Alejandra Guzman (13-3-2). She revenged the loss she got from Guzman in June this year. Ali was stopped in 8th round that time.
