MMA star Ngannou gets number 10 ranking in WBC after Fury fight

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has been ranked as number 10 in heavyweight ranking by World Boxing Council after great performance against WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1).

Ngannou narrowly lost on points to Fury on October 28 in Riyadh. For Ngannou was debut fight in professional boxing.

He dropped Fury in third round, but in the end lost on points by majority decision.

At their convention held in Uzbekistan, WBC said that Ngannou will be ranked as number 10 in their ranking.

WBC also said that a mandatory challenger for Fury’s title would not be called until next year. Fury is expected to fight Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed heavyweight contest in February.
