Kozin defeats Rankin, wins two world titles

Slovenian boxer Ema Kozin (24-1-1) won WBC World and WBO World titles in super-welterweight division.

27-year-old defeated British fighter Hannah Rankin (13-7) on Saturday night in Manchester by split decision.

The titles were vacant. After a 10 round fight, two judges gave the victory to Kozin, 96:94 and 98:92 and one gave win to Rankin (96:94).

Kozin’s only loss until now came from the hands of star Claressa Shields. Kozin lost on points on February 2022, for IBC, WBA and WBC World titles in middleweight.

In the main event of Saturday nights show that was held in Manchester, Nick Ball (19-0) won WBC Silver Feather title.

Ball won clear on points against former world champion, Ghanian born Isaac Dogboe (24-4).
