World Boxing launched its first provisional boxing calendar for 2024

The 1st Congress of World Boxing will be held in Frankfurt, Germany this weekend but the new organization launched its first competition plan for 2024.

This version is still provisional but shows World Boxing’s commitment to the sport and to give fair play to the boxers worldwide.   

World Boxing plans to standardize the competitions, hosting them every year or two years in the same period. Fair play, logical competition structure, consistent competition calendar, transparent bidding procedures and clear organisational standards are the key factors for the upcoming events.

The Olympic Games in Paris is the most important competition in 2024 and its two editions of the World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Events. Italy’s Busto Arsizio is the host of the 1st World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event starting from February 29, while the 2nd will feature in Thailand from May 23.

The World Boxing’s first World Boxing Championships will take place for the U19 boxers between August and November 2024.

The opening stage of the World Boxing Cup will be held in Sheffield, England on January 16-21 and the event is the first elite competition in 2024.

The USA International Invitational Tournament will serve as the second stage of the World Boxing Cup which event returns to the city of Pueblo on April 14-21.

The month of September is the plan for hosting the third stage of the World Boxing Cup and its exact date and venue to be confirmed later.

The finals of the World Boxing Cup have scheduled to take place in England in the end of the year as the last operation for WB in 2024.

The promising Eindhoven Box Cup will be a World Boxing Challenge competition in the Netherlands on May 17-21.
