Yesica Nery Plata beats Bormann, defends WBA and WBC world titles

Mexican Yessica Nery Plata (30-2) defended her WBA Super World and WBC World light-flyweight titles.

Plata on December 16 in Karlsruhe beat German Sarah Bormann (17-1) via split decision.

Two judges gave the victory to Nery Plata (96:93 and 97:92) and one gave victory to Bormann (95:94). Nery Plata unified the WBA and WBC title at beginning of year beating in Canada, local favorite Kim Clavel.
