Stevenson wants to fight Navarette
WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson (21-0) is ready to fight Emanuel Navarrete (38-1-1) of Mexico, which holds WBO title in super-featherweight.
Stevenson won WBO World lightweight title in November last year, beating Edwin De Los Santos by unanimous decision.
Navarrete’s last fight was in November, when he drew against Brazilian Robson Conceicao but kept WBO title.
“I like fighting the fighters that’s young and undefeated, accomplishing things in the sport like myself,” wrote Stevenson on his social media account. “Let’s make a big fight USA vs Mexico. I’m not into taking the easy route. Let’s get the WBC and WBO involved champion.”
