Julia Szeremeta and Aneta Rygielska won close contests for Poland at the Bocskai Memorial Tournament on Day2

Further 22 contests were held at the 68th edition of the Bocskai Memorial Tournament in Debrecen, Hungary which is located in the Eastern part of the country.

The new edition of the Bocskai Memorial is a preparation event before the 1st World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event which will take place in Busto Arsizio, North Italy between February 29 and March 13.

Poland’s European Championships silver medallist Aneta Rygielska impressed in the second day of boxing when she defeated Ukraine’s Anastasia Chernokolenko who moved down two weight categories in the previous weeks.

Kazakhstan’s 20-year-old Kenzhe Muratuly (51kg) and the Asian Games quarter-finalist Yertugan Zeinullinov (63.5kg) both advanced to the next round in Debrecen.

Hungary’s strong trio, the Paris Olympian Richard Kovacs (63.5kg), the two-time National Champion Rafael Buza (67kg) and the Youth World bronze medallist Levente Kiss (92kg) all managed to go to the next stage of the competition.
