Billam-Smith will defend WBO cruiserweight title against Riakporhe

Chris Billam-Smith (19-1) will fight Richard Riakporhe (17-0) for WBO World cruiserweight title.

Billam-Smith holds the WBO World belt and will defend against his countryman Riakporhe.

Promoter Ben Shalom told “Sky Sports” that both fighters agreed to fight and that this fight could take place in a football stadium. “Vitality Stadium” of Bournemouth and “Selhurst Park” of Crystal Palace are being considered as venues. Date is still to be announced.

“That’s a fight that both fighters have signed to fight. It’s a mandatory fight and it’s guaranteed to happen next. Another huge fight in British boxing,” Shalom told Sky Sports.
