Strong line-ups at the upcoming Strandja Memorial Tournament
The 75th edition of the Strandja Memorial Tournament will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria from February 2 until the 12th.
Algeria, Armenia, Austria, host Bulgaria, China, Croatia, France, Georgia, Greece, Guatemala, India, Iran, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Ukraine and Uzbekistan all will be there in the strong Strandja Memorial Tournament.
Uzbekistan’s top stars such as their three qualified male boxers, the Olympic Champions, Hasanboy Dusmatov, Bakhodir Jalolov and the World Champion Abdumalik Khalokov all entered to the Strandja Memorial Tournament.
Ireland’s top female boxers, the Olympic Games winner Kellie Harrington, the World Champions as Amy Broadhurst and Lisa O’Rourke, furthermore the European Champion Aoife O’Rourke all will be there on the start of the Strandja Memorial.
China qualified seven boxers to the Olympic Games through the Asian Games and all of them will use the Strandja Memorial as preparation including their female stars as Chang Yuan, Yang Liu, and Li Qian.
France’s stars as the World silver medallist Billal Bennama, the two-time World Champion Sofiane Oumiha, the European Games winner Amina Zidani, and Davina Michel all registered to participate in the Strandja Memorial.
Thailand’s female team, their medallists from the World Championships such as Chuthamat Raksat, Jutamas Jitpong, and Janjaem Suwannapheng are already arrived to the venue in Bulgaria.
India’s bests will participate in the Strandja Memorial Tournament and their boxers arrived to Sofia last evening including the Asian Games winner Amit Panghal, and their female World Champions, Lovlina Borgohain and Nikhat Zareen.
Kazakhstan’s team will be strengthened by their World Champion Sanzhar Tashkenbay, and the Asian Champion Tursynbay Kulakhmet.
The Bulgarian aces as Stanimira Petrova, Svetlana Kamenova, Javier Ibanez, and Radoslav Rosenov will be their main gold medal hopes in this new edition.
