Seventeen nations registered to participate at the Olympic Dreamer Tournament in Sarajevo

The Olympic Dreamer Tournament starts in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina today which is the last preparation competition for the 1st World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event.

The competition venue is the Hotel Hills Sarajevo Congress and Termal Spa Resort which is located in a fantastic environment. The top quality of boxing, the friendly environment and the exciting local fans are all guaranteed in Sarajevo.

Afghanistan, host Bosnia & Herzegovina, Botswana, Cyprus, Egypt, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Qatar, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkmenistan and Zambia registered to the competition.

Several of the non-European countries decided to travel to Bosnia & Herzegovina to finish their preparations and acclimatize near to Italy. All of the registered nations are planning to send their teams to Busto Arsizio, Italy where the next Qualifier will start on February 29.

The date of the Olympic Dreamer competition is February 13-17 and their training camp will follows that from the 18th until the 28th. Mr. Adnan Pasic, the local organizer, is the engine of the competition, he will support all of the participating teams during the competition.

The women boxers will be able to compete in the six Olympic weight categories in Sarajevo: 50kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 66kg and 75kg.  

The male boxers will compete in their seven official Olympic weight classes in Bosnia & Herzegovina’s capital city: 51kg, 57kg, 63.5kg, 71kg, 80kg, 92kg and +92kg.

Sarajevo is the city of the 1984 Winter Olympic Games, the city of sports and the city of boxing. The competition will remember the 40th anniversary of the Winter Olympic Games which was held in the era of Yugoslavia.
