Bromand and Jedinakova are among the winners at the Olympic Dreamer Tournament

Two competition days have been held at the Olympic Dreamer Tournament in Sarajevo where Afghanistan’s Sadia Bromand and Slovakia’s Miroslava Jedinakova were among the winners.

The Tournament Director Mr. Adnan Pasic arranged the competition venue in the Hotel Hills Sarajevo Congress Resort which is located in a fantastic environment.

Zalgai Laghmani is a new Afghan boxer in the national team but he had strong attacks and fighting spirit to beat a more experienced Serbian, Nazif Sejdi at the men’s light welterweight (63.5kg).

Slovakia’s Ladislav Horvath is an U22 boxer in the squad but he managed to beat Bosnia & Herzegovina’s Erman Krso at the light middleweight (71kg). His teammate at the heavyweight (92kg), the 23-year-old Joseph Kostur walked over to the next stage of boxing.

A promising boxer, Sadia Bromand lives and trains in Germany but she represents Afghanistan in the international events. The Women’s World Championships competitor defeated another Asian boxer at the female light flyweight (50kg), Hong Kong’s Gemini Chan Ching Man and she proved a strong performance in Sarajevo.

Slovakia’s European U22 Champion Miroslava Jedinakova uses the event as the last preparation for the 1st World Olympic Boxing Qualifier. She had a hard job against Bosnia & Herzegovina’s best woman boxer, Tara Bohatjuk but she managed to win this fight.

Bosnia & Herzegovina’s Wail Meiri progressed a lot in terms of strength and tactics in the recent one year and he had a successful opener against Hong Kong’s Lee Kong Ching at the men’s light welterweight (63.5kg).

Serbia’s Sadam Magomedov has ten years of international experience and the heavyweight (92kg) boxer delighted the crowd with his strength on the last bout of the session. The Serbian veteran was not only too strong for the smaller David Michalek of Slovakia but he knocked out his opponent.
