Foster gets a split decision win over Nova, defends WBC title

O’Shaquie Foster (22-2) survived a tough battle against Abraham Nova (23-2) and defended his WBC World super-featherweight title

Foster dropped Nova once in final round and in end two of three judges saw him as winner. Judge Mark Constentino scored the fight 115:112 in favor of Foster, judge Kevin Morgan scored the fight 116:111 in favor of Foster. Judge John McKaie saw Nova as winner (114:113).

In undercard Bruce Carrington (11-0) got a KO victory in fourth round over Bernard Angelo Torres (18-2) of Norway. Fight was for IBF Inter-Continental, NABF and WBO Inter-Continental featherweight titles.

Andres Cortes (21-0) won by TKO in fourth round against Bryan Chevalier (20-2-1) in the fight for WBO Inter-Continental super-featherweight title.
