Jedinakova and Magomedov are the best boxers of the Olympic Dreamer Tournament

The finals delivered exciting battles at the Olympic Dreamer Tournament in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina where Serbia’s Sadam Magomedov and Slovakia’s Miroslava Jedinakova became the best boxers.

Bosnia & Herzegovina is a professional host in our sport with strong traditions of boxing and the Olympic Dreamer Tournament was held on the 40^th anniversary of the Sarajevo 1984 Winter Olympic Games.

The Tournament Director Mr. Adnan Pasic arranged the competition venue in the Hotel Hills Sarajevo Congress and Termal Spa Resort which is located in a fantastic environment.

Serbia’s Kristina Nadj-Varga achieved the Best Woman Technician Boxer Award following her gold medal at the women’s light flyweight (50kg). She controlled the first round against Afghanistan’s Berlin-based Sadia Bromand and due to her tough combinations in the second, the referee stopped the final.

Slovakia’s Bibiana Lovasova, a teenage talent, won the women’s bantamweight (54kg) final against Hong Kong’s Winnie Au Yin Yin. Her compatriot, the European U22 Champion Miroslava Jedinakova had a strong performance against Netherlands’ Megan De Cler in the final of the women’s lightweight (60kg).

Slovakia’s Erik Katona is another young talent in their national team who had the technical skills and speed to beat Hong Kong’s Kenneth Tam Chin Hin at the men’s flyweight (51kg). His Tokyo Olympian teammate, Andrej Csemez walked over to the title of the men’s light heavyweight (80kg).

Serbia’s Igor Rogic awarded as the Best Male Technician Boxer following his great performance against Slovakia’s Ladislav Horvath at the light middleweight (71kg). Serbia’s best male boxer in this event, the ex-Russian Sadam Magomedov dominated the heavyweight (92kg) against Slovakia’s Joseph Kostur.

The competition continued with an international training camp in Bosnia & Herzegovina which is the last preparation stage for the 1^st World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event.
