Tanaka becomes four-weight champion, Inoue defends WBA title

Kosei Tanaka (20-1) became a four-weight world champion. Japanese start won via unanimous decision on Saturday night in Kokugikan, Tokyo against Christian Bacasegua Rangel (22-5-2) of Mexico, to win WBO World super-flyweight title.

All three judges saw Tanaka clearly as winner (117:110, 119:108 and 116:111).

Tanaka held world titles also in flyweight, light-flyweight and minimumweight.

In the main event in Tokyo, Takuma Inoue (19-1) KO’d Jerwin Ancajas (34-4-2) of Philippines in 12th round and defended WBA World bantamweight title.
