The new Golden Belt Tournament will be held in Romania on June 9-16
The next edition of the Golden Belt Nicolae Linca Tournament will be held in Targu Mures, Romania on June 9-16 where the elite female and male boxers are able to compete before the Paris Olympics.
Romania hosted several international competitions in the previous one year and the country arranged already the Dracula Open Youth & Junior Tournament in 2024.
The invitation file and the entry forms has revealed and sent to all National Federations to start the preparations for this event. The final deadline to register to the Golden Belt Tournament with all details is May 23.
The venue of the event is the Polivalenta Hall in Targu Mures and the new edition of the Golden Belt Tournament will feature in all of the 12 women and 13 men weight categories.
Ireland, Uzbekistan, Germany, Georgia, Spain, Ukraine and Romania earned the gold medals of the last edition of the Golden Belt Tournament in Targu Mures in 2022.
Ireland’s Christina Desmond was one of the best boxers of the women’s competition in 2022 while Romania’s Andrei Valentin Gavae caused the top sensations in the men’s event.
