Zhang sends message to Parker: “I’m the tiger and will hunt him”
Chinese heavyweight Zhilei Zhang (26-1-1) will defend his WBO Interim World title on March 8 in Riyad Saudi Arabia, against New Zealander Joseph Parker (34-3).
In a news conference on Wednesday, ahead of the fight, Zhang showed respect for Parker. But he said that he “is the tiger and will hunt Parker”.
“Joseph Parker is a hell of a fighter. He is young, hungry and is coming here for the belt. I’m the tiger right here, I’m here to hunt. If you wanna take the food out of my mouth, then u gonna have to pay price”, Zhang said.
Former world champion Parker said that he is feeling great.
“I feel dangerous , I really do. And Zhang is gonna feel that danger”, Parker said.
Zhang – Parker will be co-main event of show in Riyad, Saudi Arabia where the main event will be the fight between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou.
In the event will be also two world title fights.
Israil Madrimov (9-0-1) will fight Magomed Kurbanov (25-0) for WBA World super-welterweight title, and Rey Vargas (36-1) will fight Nick Ball (19-0) for WBC World featherweight title.
