Iglesias stops Coceres in first round

IBO World champion in super-middleweight division, Cuban Osleys Iglesias (10-0, 9 KO’s), fought for the first time in Canada on Thursday night.

Iglesias had an impressive performance against experiences Argentinian fighter and former world title challenger, Marcelo Coceres (32-7-1) stopping him in the first round.

The fight was off after 2:07 minutes in first round.

In the co-main event Steven Butler (34-4-1) also got a first-round victory. He KO’d Steve Rolls (22-4) after 1:05 minutes.

On the same event Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse (7-1) won the WBC World title in heavyweight. She beat Abril Argentina Vidal (10-2) by split decision (97:93, 97:93, 94:96).
