Shala vs. Zakhozhyi for EBU Heavyweight title
Granit Shala (15-0) will have his biggest test of career so far on April 13 in Charlottenburg.
German-Kosovan boxer Shala will face Ukrainian Oleksandr Zakhozhyi (18-0, 14 KO’s) for the vacant EBU Heavyweight title.
Agon Sports announced that the fight is official.
EBU first ordered the fight between Shala and Daniel Dubois, but Dubois withdrew. Then was Joe Joyce nominated as challenger, but he also wasn’t interested in the fight.
Finally, an opponent was announced. And it will not be an easy task for Shala, which is trained by Agron Kurtisi at Fight Power Academy in Munchen.
Zakhozhyi is 2.06 meters tall and holds an impressive KO record.
He also won before the WBC Francophone title.
