Saavedra surprises Hardman, wins WBO Inter-Continental title

Venezuelan Endry Saavedra (16-1) stopped local favorite Isaac Hardman (15-3) in round eight, to claim WBO Inter-Continental title in middleweight division.

Fight was held in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia on March 13.

Hardman was leading on points on two of three judges score cards. But in round eight Saveedra continued attacks and stopped Hardman.

In the other fight in event Sam Goodman (18-0) continued winning streak, stopping Mark Schleibs (13-3) in round four. The fight scheduled for ten rounds was in super-bantamweight division.
