Danas Pozniakas Youth Tournament in Vilnius, Lithunia – Day3 Semi-finals Report & Results

The 19^th Danas Pozniakas Youth Tournament turned to its semi-final stage in Lithuania’s capital in Vilnius where the 13 finals are scheduled to be held tomorrow where Ukraine is the most succesful nation.

Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Latvia, and Wales have finalists in the Danas Pozniakas Youth Tournament and several close battles are expected in the upcoming finals.

Raimundas Trapulionis (48kg), Nojus Stanisauskas (54kg), Renat Krepstul (63.5kg), Vladimir Abramovas (71kg) and Danielus Baltrusaitis (92kg) are the Lithuanian finalists in Vilnius.

Boxers from the 2006-2007 age groups are able to participate in the 19^th Danas Pozniakas Youth Tournament in Vilnius which is a preparation competition for the upcoming European Youth Boxing Championships.

The competition was named after Lithuania’s national boxing hero Mr. Danas Pozniakas who claimed gold medal at the Mexico 1968 Olympic Games representing the Soviet Union and also crowned three-times in the history of the European Boxing Championships. During his long and successful career Lithuanian boxing icon, Danas Pozniakas won 203 bouts out of his 217 total contests in the ’60s.
