Joyce returns with a KO victory, Davies new IBO World champion

Britain’s Heavyweight Joe Joyce (16-2) stopped his countryman Kash Ali (21-3) in the final seconds of last round to claim KO victory on his return after two consecutive losses to China’s Zhilei Zhang.

Joyce dropped Ali in the final seconds of tenth round with a strong right to head.

Joyce was seeking to return to wins after he was beating twice via stoppage by China’s Zhang.

The fight of Joyce with Ali was held in March 16 in Birmingham, UK.

In the same event Liam Davies (16-0) won the IBO World title in super-bantamweight. Davies KO’d Mexico’s Erik Robles Ayala (15-2) in second round. There were other title fights in same show. Pierce O’Leary (14-0) stopped Hovhannes Martirosyan (16-1) in ninth round to claim WBC International super-lightweight title.

Dennis McCann (15-0-1) won the WBO Inter-Continental, British and Commonwealth super-bantamweight titles. He beat via unanimous decision Brad Strand (11-1).

The fight for British title in middleweight between Nathan Heaney (18-0-1) and Brad Pauls (18-1-1) ended in a split draw.

In the same show Zach Parker (24-1) beat Tyron Zeuge (27-2-1) via unanimous decision after 10 rounds.
