Twenty-three champions at the 61st Belgrade Winner Tournament

The 61st Belgrade Winner Tournament was finished with its finals Serbia’s capital which was a preparation before the European Elite Boxing Championships.

Gloria D’Almeida, a French boxer claimed the first gold medal in the Belgrade Winner Tournament, she defeated Serbia’s Kristina Nadj-Varga at the women’s minimumweight (48kg). Her teammate, the younger Sthelyne Grosy bagged the second French title in Belgrade, she triumphed over also a local boxer, Jelena Zekic on Day5.

Serbia’s Natalia Shadrina has already qualified for the Paris Olympics she had the dominance against Croatia’s Dea Bolanca at the women’s lightweight (60kg). Another Russian boxer who switched to Serbia, Kristina Kuluhova outpointed Megan De Cler at the light welterweight (63kg) final.

France’s Maelys Richol joined the elite boxers only this January and the tall boxer worked well enough to beat Montenegro’s Tamara Radunovic at the women’s welterweight (66kg). Her Olympian teammate, the European Games silver medallist Davina Michel had an easy success against Serbia’s Nikolina Gajic at the middleweight (75kg).

Serbia’s Anastasija Lukasic and her teammate, Sara Miljkovic both defeated Hungarian boxers in their close final contests. The second had a crucial battle against Reka Hoffmann at the women’s heavyweight (+81kg) final.

The Kazakhs won the smallest three weight categories in the men’s part of the Belgrade Winner Tournament. Kairat Yernur (48kg), the World Champion Sanzhar Tashkenbay (51kg) and Daulet Moldashev (54kg) all succeeded in their finals.

Montenegro’s Tomislav Djinovic had brilliant performance in the entire competition and he succeeded over Russia’s Arshak Tovmasyan in the final as well. Slovenia’s Nejc Petric also exceeded his previous level, he had powerful shots to beat France’s Hugo Grau at the men’s welterweight (67kg).

Croatia’s Paris Olympian Gabrijel Veocic had a superb performance against Kazakhstan’s Yerassyl Zhakpekov at the light heavyweight (80kg) final in Belgrade.
