Dalton Smith KO’s Zapeda, wins WBC Silver title

Dalton Smith (16-0, 12 KO) KO’d Jose Zepeda (37-5, 28 KO) with a powerful right to the body and claimed the WBC Silver super-lightweight title on Saturday night (March 23) in Sheffield, UK.

27-year-old made big step forward towards a world title fight.

In undercard Sandy Ryan (7-1-1) defended the WBO World welterweight title. Her opponent Terri Harper (14-2-2) retired after four rounds.

Son of British legend Ricky Hatton, Campbell (14-1) suffered first loss in professional boxing career. Campbell Hatton lost by unanimous decision from James Flint (14-1-2) in the fight for BBBofC Central Area super-light title.
