Berinchyk – Navarrete world championship fight in May

According to news, the WBO lightweight world title belt will find a new owner on May 18. One of the participants in the fight in San Diego will be the current number one in WBO rankings, Denys Berinchyk (18-0, 9KO).

The Olympic silver medalist from Ukraine will face Mexico’s Emanuel Navarrete (38-1-1, 31KO), who has held world titles in three weight classes.

If Navarrete leaves the ring victorious, he will relinquish his WBO super-featherweight world title belt and Oscar Valdez will become the fully fledged world champion.
