Ashiraliyev, Rustemovski and Zamjatins are among the winners in Porec today

The fourth competition day was an exciting session at the European Youth Boxing Championships in Porec, Croatia today.

Azerbaijan’s Mahammadali Ashiraliyev is one of the stars at the men’s featherweight (57kg) who earned several top results in the previous three years. The Azeri boxer maintained the best fighting distance in the first round and he was able to beat an Italian talent, Francesco Crucilla today.  

North Macedonia has new young talents and their Adrijan Rustemovski caused a small surprise on Day4 when he eliminated Poland’s Igor Soczowka at the featherweight (57kg). Greece’s Georgios Pleas has strong family roots to our sport and he had the technical skills to beat Belarus’ Aliaksei Kazuseu.

Moldova’s Volodymyr Melenchuk is aiming for a medal at the featherweight (57kg) and he is on the best way to accomplish his target. He had a close success over Georgia’s Davit Bakradze and his teammate, Pavel Zadorojniuc also defeated his first rival, Hungary’s 17-year-old Sandor Varadi at the light heavyweight (80kg).

Latvia’s amazing talent at the lightweight (60kg), Nikolajs Zamjatins had a fantastic performance against Belgium’s Lorenzo Camposeo and he won the bout by unanimous decision. Latvia’s Nikita Prohovskis had a dominant performance over Albania’s Leo Xhongoli and he joined the next stage of boxing at the light heavyweight (80kg).

Another Baltic boxer at the light heavyweight (80kg), Lithuania’s Martin Moisejenko won his contest against Montenegro’s Filip Klepo by bout review. Poland’s Igor Marek Rondos proved his strong development against Armenia’s Armen Poghosyan and he succeeded in their meeting on Day4.

Italy’s Christian Sarsilli, who joined the youth team in 2023, has several years of international experience and the light heavyweight (80kg) talent had the knowledge to beat Ukraine’s Oleh Vityk in the first preliminary round. Belarus’ Kiryl Harbatsenka won another tight contest in the session, he eliminated Georgia’s Erekle Chubinidze in Porec.
