Paris Olympians will compete at the upcoming 42nd Gee Bee Tournament

The registrations are finished for the 42^nd edition of the Gee Bee Tournament which will be held in Finland’s capital in Helsinki on April 10-15.

The Boxing Refugee Team, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Sweden, Chinese Taipei, and Wales confirmed its participation in the upcoming 42^nd Gee Bee Tournament.

The number of the registered boxers is 82 including 23 female athletes in the new edition of the Gee Bee Tournament.

Chinese Taipei’s Lai Chu En, Boxing Refugee Team’s Cindy Ngamba, and Wales’ Rosie Eccles have already qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games among the participants.

The competition venue will be the Helsinki Sport Hall where altogether 16 winners to be crowned in the new edition. The accommodation and the meals will be at the Hotel Scandic Kallio as in the previous years.

The women boxers can participate in six different weight categories in Helsinki at the 50kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 66kg, and 75kg divisions. The 10 men’s elite weight categories are in the event as follows: 51kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63.5kg, 67kg, 71kg, 75kg, 80kg, 92kg and +92kg.

The last 41^st edition of the Gee Bee Tournament featured in Finland’s capital on April 2023. The United States and England both earned five gold medals in the competition but Ukraine, Canada, Finland, Lithuania, Denmark and the Netherlands all won at least one title in Helsinki.
