Zakhozhyi new EBU heavyweight champion

Oleksandr Zakhozhyi (19-0) is the new EBU European heavyweight champion. 206-centimeter-tall Ukrainian on Saturday night in Berlin stopped local favorite Granit Shala (15-1) on round two of the fight for vacant EBU title

Zakhozhyi used his 13-centimeter height advantage to keep the distance, and in round two he dropped Shala twice, and got the victory by KO.

In co-main event Alexander Pavlov (20-3) won the IBF Inter-Continental title in middleweight. Pavlov stopped Thomas Piccirillo (13-1-4) in the first round.
