Noakes defeats Mendy, claims EBU European title

Sam Noakes (14-0) claimed the EBU European title in lightweight division. Noakes on Saturday night in York Hall, won via unanimous decision over France’s, Yvan Mendy (48-7-1).

Noakes was in total control of the fight and all three judges scored 120:108 in favor of him.

In undercard Henry Turner (13-0) won via TKO in round five over Maykol Mendoza (16-5) in the fight for WBC International Silver super-lightweight title.
