Lopez frustrated with Top Rank

Former unified champion Teofimo Lopez (20-1-0) is voicing frustration over what he perceives as unsatisfactory offers from Top Rank. Despite defending his WBO super-lightweight title in February against Jamaine Ortiz, criticism from fighters like Terence Crawford and Gervonta Davis added to his frustration.

Lopez’s next fight remains uncertain, with speculation suggesting a bout with Steve Claggett in Miami on June 29.

Expressing discontent with recent negotiations, Lopez took to social media to criticize Top Rank and Bob Arum, referring to their offers as “take it or leave it.”

This isn’t the first time Lopez has spoken out against Top Rank, previously expressing dissatisfaction with his purses and claiming to have generated significant revenue for ESPN. More to come…
