Makhmudov lookig for redemption against Fa

Arslanbek Makhmudov’s (18-1-0) heavyweight giant, took a loss to Agit Kabayel (23-0-0), in Riyadh last December. Despite being the favorite, Makhmudov suffered a disappointing defeat, described as “a big oak tree sagging to the ground.”

Now, he faces Junior Fa (20-3-0), on May 25 in Shawinigan, Quebec, aiming for redemption.

Promoter Camille Estephan acknowledges Makhmudov’s recent injury but emphasizes the need for an impressive win to secure future opportunities, especially with the influx of money from Saudi Arabia.

Fa, too, seeks a comeback after losses to Frank Sanchez and Lucas Browne. Estephan sees the Fa – Makhmudov matchup as a chance to prove Makhmudov’s worth and aims for a convincing victory.
