Krassyuk predicts twelve tough rounds for Berinchyk against Navarette

Unbeaten Denys Berinchyk (18-0-0) of Ukraine will face Emanuel Navarrete (38-1-1) for the vacant WBO lightweight title at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena on May 18. Navarrete, reigning super-featherweight champion, move up in weight following a draw with Robson Conceicao. Berinchyk secured his title shot after defeating Anthony Yigit last August.

Berinchyk’s promoter, Alexander Krassyuk, expressed satisfaction at his fighter’s long-awaited opportunity, highlighting Berinchyk’s persistence in the WBO rankings. The Ukrainian boxer’s bout coincides with compatriot Oleksandr Usyk’s heavyweight title clash with Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia. Krassyuk regrets being unable to attend both events.

Navarrete’s move to lightweight marks his first shot at a world title in the division. Krassyuk predicts a tough, 12-round battle, foreseeing the match going the distance given Navarrete’s resilience and Mexican fighting spirit. The Berinchyk-Navarrete bout serves as the headline event of the Top Rank promotion.
