Catterall wins the rematch against Taylor

Jack Catterall (29-1) won the rematch against Taylor (19-2). Catterall won by unanimous decision in Leeds on Saturday night (May 25) in a thrilling rematch.

He avenged his controversial split-decision defeat to Taylor in Glasgow two years ago.

Catterall on Saturday night landed more punches and heavier punches and the judges in the end gave him clear victory by unanimous decision. Judges Mark Bates and Kieran McCann scored the fight 117:111 and judge Lee Every 116:113 all in favor of Catterall.

In the undercard Cheavon Clarke (9-0) won the British title in cruiserweight stopping Ellis Zorro (17-2) in the first round.
