Strong European session in Bangkok

Strong session for the European boxers at the 2nd World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event in Bangkok, Thailand today, several of their promising boxers won their meetings.

Patrycja Borys and Sandra Kruk represented Poland at the women’s lightweight (60kg) in the previous main competitions but their management decided to change this time and Klaudia Budasz is their participant in Bangkok. The Polish girl accomplished her first objective in the Huamark Indoor Stadium where she defeated Switzerland’s Anna Jenni today.

Ukraine had difficulties at the women’s lightweight (60kg) in the previous years but their Hanna Okhrei is in developing stage and she opened her campaign with a success in Bangkok. The Ukrainian had a very difficult opponent, Tajikistan’s multiple Asian Women’s Championships medallist Shoira Zulkaynarova but she managed to win that contest.

Spain’s Tokyo quarter-finalist Gazimagomed Jalidov won his second contest in the Qualifier and he advanced already to the Round of 16 at the light heavyweight (80kg). The 30-year-old Spaniard had difficulties in the recent 12 months but he found back the winning path and he eliminated Estonia’s Stiven Aas with top performance today.
