Van der Toorn, Sedlackova, Molochko and Fernandez eliminated their rivals at the women’s featherweight

The actions at the women’s featherweight (57kg) and men’s flyweight (51kg) all were outstanding at the 2nd World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ukraine’s Anastasia Molochko won the National Championships last year, which marked her return to the sport after her managing jobs. The Ukrainian featherweight (57kg) boxer was quicker than Saudi Arabia’s Hadeel Ghazwan Ashour and her jabs controlled their bout but the Asian girl fought until the end.

Netherlands’ Maud van der Toorn and Mexico’s Guadelupe Solis both moved down to the featherweight (57kg) from the lightweight (60kg) to achieve their dreams. The Youth World Champion Dutch is a fantastic talent in our sport and she used her longer reach well enough to beat the Central American today.

Czech Republic’s Lucie Sedlackova stopped her first opponent in Busto Arsizio and she was planning to repeat that performance against Qatar’s Dana Al-Jabor. The referee counted the Arabic girl in all of the three rounds and the Czech, who returned from the professional world, won her debuting featherweight (57kg) contest once again by RSC.

The Spanish boxers are in impressive shape in this Qualifier, several of their boxers are still in action for the quotas. Their Jennifer Fernandez has six years of routine in the national team and she was better than South Korea’s Jin Hye Jeong minutes by minutes therefore she won this featherweight contest by unanimous decision.

Germany’s Canan Tas used her strength to catch Hungary’s Szabina Szucs with heavy shots and the referee counted her opponent in these periods twice therefore she won this tight contest by 4:1 split decision.

Spain’s 20-year-old Rafael Lozano Serrano had a tight success over Tajikistan’s Mekhron Shafiyev at the men’s flyweight (51kg) before Venezuela’s Keymberth Gonzalez eliminated Bahrain’s Azat Makhmetov. Ukraine’s 29-year-old Dmytro Zamotayev controlled all of the three rounds against Argentina’s Ramon Nicanor Quiroga and he joined the last 16.
