Gervonta Davis promises great performance against Martin

Gervonta “Tank” Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) will return in the ring this Saturday after almost 14 months pause.

Davis will defend his WBA World lightweight title on Saturday night in Las Vegas against Frank Martin (18-0, 12 KOs).

Davis promised a great performance.

“I’ve been locked in for a long time now. My give-back is going to be a great performance on Saturday night,” Davis said.

“He’s shaking up there,” Davis said of Martin. “He was talking tough (Tuesday) when it was just him. It’s going to show. He’s a frontrunner”. “He’s just worried about not getting knocked out. He’s not worrying about winning.”

Davis last fought in April last year stopping Ryan Garcia in seventh round.

Martin said Davis wasn’t in the ring with someone like him.

“I appreciate Tank giving me the opportunity to whoop his (butt),” Martin said. “He just hasn’t been in there with anybody like me.”

In undercard David Benavidez (28-0) will face Oleksandr Gvzodyk (20-1) for WBC Interim World light-heavyweight title.

Also Carlos Adames (23-1) will fight Terrell Gausha (24-3-1) for WBC World middleweight title and Gary Antuanne Russell (17-0) will face Alberto Puello (22-0) for WBC Interim World super-light title.
